Elementary

Our students in kindergarten through grade 5 arrive at school between 8:30 and 8:40 each day and begin their learning immediately. They spend time learning about math, science, social studies and language arts with the majority of their time spent on developing as strong readers, writers and mathematicians.

The elementary schedule is based upon a six day cycle (A, B, C, D, E, F) and on each day of the cycle students experience a different special area subject; physical education, library, music, art and Spanish.

Our students are using 21st century technology tools throughout their day. Our technology teachers are team teaching with our classroom teachers to assist our students as they seamlessly integrate these resources and access, as well as produce, information.

Our elementary students experience a variety of field trips aligned to science and social studies curricula. Students travel to such places as the Elmwood or Philadelphia Zoo, Perkiomen Watershed, Crystal Cave, Franklin Institute, Churchville Nature Center, Camden Aquarium and Historic Philadelphia.

Scope and sequence documents for all subject areas are available for review. To request these documents, please contact a member of the Curriculum Team.
