PV Partners for Equity and Inclusion

What's new for PV Partners?
There is recognition that not all in our District feel respected, included, or entitled to the same opportunities. In response, a network of staff, students, parents, and community members have come together as partners for the purpose of improving the cultural competence in our school communities and eliminating disrespectful and hurtful incidents. Over the past two years, PV Partners for Equity and Inclusion has created a greater awareness and understanding of differences and facilitated increased inclusionary practices districtwide. 

During the 2020-21 school year, the work of PV Partners will evolve. There are equity conversations occurring with students who feel marginalized, culturally responsive teaching approaches being incorporated into learning activities, and trauma treatment sessions for various stakeholder groups. There will also be focus group discussions scheduled for the purpose of realizing additional steps towards eliminating inequities in our schools and greater community. The goal is for our school communities to reach a level of competence where “all actually means all.”
