"Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work."-Stephen King

There's over 28 million small businesses currently in the United States with over 22 million of those small businesses being Self-Employed. There are 543,000 new businesses started each month with around 7 in 10 new employer firms surviving at least 2 years, half at least 5 years, a third at least 10 years and a quarter stay in business 15 years or more. Financially over 75% of Americans ages 18-30 are living paycheck-t0-paycheck and their average student loan debt is $38,500 as of 2014. They're also at the highest risk of defaulting on their debt than any other generation in history.

Business and Financial Management is REAL! In our classroom are future business entrepreneurs, managers, financial advisers, home owners, and most importantly FAMILIES. The next generation of young American's have the greatest potential for success but are also at the greatest risk of poor fiscal responsibility. The goal of our classroom this year is to give students the knowledge and resources to become the future small business owner and financially responsible consumer in America. We'll be diving into real life scenario's, situations, and practice sound business/financial practices that will help them be successful later in life! I'm looking forward to sharing with them my personal experience's as a soon to be small business owner and the fiscal practices that will lead to their future success this year!
