The mission of the Perkiomen Valley School District is to provide a rich academic and cultural learning environment that maximizes available resources to assure that all students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally, attaining the skills necessary to become successful citizens.

Courses for 2017-2018:

Global Studies
Global Studies is designed for students to gain a broad overview of the physical and cultural geography and the histories of Asia, Africa and Latin America.  The topics covered in this course include: geography, population, colonialism, hunger, disease, human rights, and religion and will be discussed with the above mentioned areas of the world in mind.  We will be studying the contributions of these world cultures, as well as recognizing the relationships between the physical geography and the human geography of places outside of Europe and the United States.  Through projects, research, discussion, and collaborative work students will demonstrate an understanding of both contemporary social issues and the cultural history of the countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

AP Psychology
As written by CollegeBoard:  "The purpose of the AP course in Psychology is to introduce the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Included is a consideration of the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major sub-fields within psychology. Students also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in their science and practice.  The aim of this course is to provide a learning experience equivalent to that obtained in most college introductory psychology courses."
