Who is Ms. Wisler?
Third grade is my favorite grade to teach! This will be my 18th year teaching 3rd grade!  I learn so much from my students and I love to see them grow.  I also LOVE chocolate, horses, and Target! I also love dogs and have a crazy pup named Bella.  I love reading, writing, and baking ( especially brownies!).  Going to the movies, spending time with my family and friends, going for a run, and helping out at a horse barn are some of my favorite things to do! I am an organized and structured teacher and I like to challenge my students and have fun too.  I encourage hard work, respect, and kindness in our classroom.

Dear Third Grade Student,


Hello!  I cannot believe that the summer is almost over and it is time to start school again.  I am really looking forward to this school year and I hope that you are too. I cannot wait to meet all of you!

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year.  This year we will be exploring the world of engineering, electricity, and animal adaptations in science.  We will also be learning many different types of writing pieces like the persuasive essay and the personal narrative.  We will even be learning to multiply and write in cursive. This year will be filled with hard work and fun activities.  I hope that you have gotten a lot of rest over the summer because we will be working hard this year.

This year, we will be using flexible seating in the classroom. There won’t be many desks or chairs.  Instead, you will see tables, balls, stools, and pillows. You will have choices everyday of where you want to work!

The following items are good to have when you come back to school:  


Community Supplies

(shared among the class):


  • one box of yellow #2 pencils, plain, sharpened if possible

  • 1 box of tissues

  • 1 container of Lysol wipes

  • 1 bottle of Elmer’s glue

  • 1 pack of colored pencils

  • 1 pack of 24 crayons

  • 1 pack of markers

  • 1 blue pen, 1 red pen, 1 black pen


*** No bottles of hand sanitizer needed :) 

Individual Supplies

(for individual student use)


  • 1 pair of scissors

  • art smock

  • 2 block erasers

  • 2 packs of dry erase markers, any color

  • earbud headphones

  • 1 SMALL pencil case

  • 1 handheld pencil sharpener

  • 2 glue sticks



Folders will be provided for every subject as well as one that goes home with important papers.  You may bring a water bottle to class as long as it is not going to spill. Please bring a healthy snack to school every day because you might get hungry due to our schedule.  You will be getting your folders and books, supplies, and other items the first day of school.
