About Me

I have been teaching at Perkiomen Valley School District since 2008.  I started my first nine years teaching third and fifth grade at South Elementary before starting at Skippack.  I attended Rider University for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and earned my graduate degree from Wilkes University in 2010.

Dear Third Grader,                                                                                                                          August 2019

Hello!  I cannot believe that the summer is almost over and it is time to start school again.  I am really looking forward to this school year and I hope that you are too.  I cannot wait to meet all of you!

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year.  This year we will be exploring the world of science as well as studying different communities across the globe in social studies.  We will also be learning many different types of writing pieces like the persuasive essay and the personal narrative.  We will even be learning how to multiply and divide.  This year will be filled with hard work and fun activities.  I hope that you have gotten a lot of rest over the summer because we will be working hard this year.

The following is a list of things that I would like you to bring to school on your first day:

·         1 large pencil/supply box

·         12 #2 pencils

·         3 block erasers

·         1 4-pack dry erase markers

·         1 box of tissues

·         1 box 24 crayons

·         2 highlighters

·         2 large glue sticks

·         1 sock or white board eraser

·         2 packs of post-it notes (3x3)

·         a favorite book

·         1 art smock with name (an old shirt will work great)

I will provide many other materials for you when you arrive at school.  You may bring a water bottle to class as long as it is not going to spill.  Please bring a healthy snack to school every day because you might get hungry due to our schedule.

If mom or dad has any questions, tell them to email me at  Also, tell mom or dad or whomever you live with that if they wish to be a chaperone on any of our field trips this year that they need to have all necessary clearances on file.  You can find these clearances on the Perkiomen Valley website.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!  I will see you soon.
