Welcome to 2nd Grade!
Ahoy Mateys! My name is Mrs. Meyers and this will be my 17th year teaching 2nd grade at South! I am really looking forward to having you join the crew in Room 17 on Monday, August 26th. This year we will continue to work on building our reading, writing, and math skills through hands-on activities and amazing stories. We also will focus on building friendships and teamwork each and every day. Some special events to look forward to are our annual Gingerbread House Party, creek-walking at the Perkiomen Watershed, and our Writers Tea and Tales celebration. Years Teaching: 18 total but 17 years at South Grades Taught: 4th and 2nd College: Pennsylvania State University (Graduate and Masters)--WE ARE! Family: husband Steven, son Torin (10 years old) and daughter Cassidy (7 years old) Obsessions: COFFEE, pirates, tigers, reading, taking naps (rare but true), hiking, Spin & Barre Not a fan of: loose teeth, creepy dolls, broccoli, laundry Last book read: NOS4A2 by Joe Hill (super scary and also an AMC series!)
