Dear 5th Grader,

Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Cairns, and I will be your fifth grade teacher. Fifth grade is such an important year filled with fun learning experiences and new challenges. I am thrilled to meet you and excited to watch you grow into a bright, responsible, and caring young adult.

Although supply lists are often posted on the school website, this checklist is more comprehensive and will better prepare you for our journey together. If there is a financial hardship, please contact Mr. Stanson-Marsh in the main office. Please bring all of your materials with you in your school bag on the first day of school. We will take time to organize and label our belongings while we get to know each other.

• 1 ½ or 2 inch  3 ring binder (Mead or Five Star Zipper Binders are great for organization☺ )

• 3 ring binder pencil pouch (no pencil boxes needed)

• Crayola Crayons (24 Pack)

• Crayola washable markers (thin)

• 1 large glue stick

• 4 packs of pencils (sharpened)

• Personal pencil sharpener

• 1 pack of hole punched lined paper

• 2 packs of plastic binder dividers with plastic tabs

• 3 single packs of Post It notes (3x3 preferred)

• 1 pack of EXPO markers

• 1 Sock (to use as an expo eraser)

• 1 pack of lined index cards

• 4 spiral notebooks (thin)

• 2 boxes of tissues for class donation (Thank you in advance ☺)
