Dear Third Grader,


         Hello and welcome to third grade!  My name is Mrs. Maxwell and I will be your teacher for the upcoming school year.  Although it’s sad to see summer come to an end, I am excited to meet you and begin our year together.

         The following is a list of things that I would like you to bring to school on the first day:

  • 1 pencil pouch or box

  • 1 box of #2 pencils (12) - Please have them sharpened if you can!

  • 1 large glue stick

  • 4 dry erase markers

  • 1 dry erase eraser

  • 1 folder of your choice for homework (no binders please)

  • Headphones/earbuds for computer use


*Please note – If you ordered the “EPI Back to School Kit” all items listed above should be included.


The following items would be helpful as well:

*1 pack of crayons 

*1 box of tissues

*1 container of Clorox wipes

*1 highlighter (yellow)

*1 pair of children’s scissors

*An extra sweatshirt (sometimes our room is chilly)


         In just a few short weeks, we will be back again at Schwenksville ringing our school’s bell.  I hope you are eager to start the school year and begin many new friendships. I can’t wait to meet you!  I will see you in room 16 on Monday, August 26.

*In addition to our classroom supplies, the special area teachers are requesting the

following items for third graders:

Spanish: 1 pencil & 1 dry erase marker       Art: paint shirt & 1 grocery bag

Special Areas also gratefully accept donations of tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes.
