Miss Harris

Welcome to Fifth Grade!
In our classroom community, we will learn how to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others and become inspired to be life-long learners.  We will work together in Room 33 to develop a learning community full of problem solving, critical thinking, math, history, science, reading and writing!

What does being a life-long learner really mean?

A life-long learner is an individual who loves to learn new information.  Life-long learners read, discuss, write, share ideas, research and collaborate.  Life-long learners are motivated and hardworking because they understand that a good education is the only way to have a bright future!
Meet Miss Harris:
My name is Miss Harris, and I am excited to be sharing this school year with you!  This will be my fifth year teaching fifth grade.  I am passionate about learning and hope to share this love with you and your family!  I graduated from Eastern University with my bachelor's degree in middle level education with concentrations in mathematics and English/Language Arts.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends!  I enjoy traveling to new (and familiar) places and experiencing new things!  My favorite place to be is the beach.  I also enjoy reading, cooking, watching movies, and playing the piano.  I look forward to learning more about you and your family this school year!
