Welcome to South Elementary -
School Health Services

The mission of the Perkiomen Valley School District is to provide a rich academic and cultural learning environment that maximizes available resources to assure that all students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally, attaining the skills necessary to become successful citizens.

Reminders regarding School Health Guidelines of the Perkiomen Valley School District:

·        Students with a fever of 100 degrees will be sent home from school.  They must be fever free for 24 hours without Tylenol or Ibuprofen before returning to school.

·        Children with vomiting and/or diarrhea related to a possible illness should be kept home until symptom free for 24 hours

·        Someone should be available to pick up a sick or injured student from school within 1 hour of being contacted.

·        Children with suspected infectious diseases (i.e.  pink eye and unknown rashes) should be kept home until verification from your health care provider is obtained.

·        Medication (including OTC) may only be administered to your child with a physician’s order.   A new medication order from your physician is required at the start of each school year.  Parents are welcome to come to school and medicate their child as necessary.

Please be mindful there are many students with life threatening food allergies. Please check with your child’s teacher before sending in any food products.  Latex balloons  or stress balls are not permitted in any school buildings throughout the district.  Your child’s welfare and education are important to me.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions/ concerns.
