Perkiomen Valley School District Mission Statement

The mission of the Perkiomen Valley School District is to provide a rich academic and cultural learning environment that maximizes available resources to assure that all students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally, attaining the skills necessary to become successful citizens.

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the Interim Principal of Skippack Elementary School.  I look forward to moving through the remainder of the school year together. Skippack Elementary is a school with persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff and a very supportive school community.  I feel fortunate to be able to be a part of this school community and support the students and families of our school.

This is my twenty third year in education.  I began my educational career in Berkeley County, West Virginia, where I taught fourth grade.  Then, I relocated to the northern Virginia area, where I taught second and fifth grade in Stafford County, Virginia.  During my tenure in Stafford County, I held various teacher leadership roles that sparked my desire to be a principal.  In 2006, my family and I relocated to the Collegeville area, and this is when I began my teaching career in Perkiomen Valley School District. I started in the position of Instructional Support Teacher at Schwenksville Elementary. While I was teaching at Schwenksville, I simultaneously completed my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.  In 2013, I transferred to Skippack Elementary to teach second grade. Finally in 2015, I moved into the position of Lead Teacher. This position has afforded me the opportunity to assist Mr. Stanson-Marsh with various administrative duties.

Over the last three and a half years in my role as Lead Teacher, I learned a great deal and grew professionally while working closely with Mr. Stanson-Marsh.  As interim principal, my goal is to provide our students with a rich and engaging school experience. I am excited to unite my experiences and knowledge of elementary students to effectively lead Skippack Elementary.

As your Interim Principal, I will work tirelessly to provide all students the best possible experience here at Skippack Elementary.
