Perkiomen Valley School District Mission Statement

The mission of the Perkiomen Valley School District is to provide a rich academic and cultural learning environment that maximizes available resources to assure that all students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally, attaining the skills necessary to become successful citizens.

A Letter to our Skippack students and families:

Dear Skippack,

Our school year has come to a close, even though it has been unique, we achieved much success!  Unfortunately, our time to physically be together at Skippack ended all too soon in early March.  But, we were brought together by connecting online through our virtual voyage to complete our learning for the remainder of the school year.  Our staff was able to quickly turn our brick and mortar school into an enriching virtual learning environment for our students to engage in our core content.  As we all know, at times this virtual platform presented some challenges, this became our new normal and we all came together to work through this transition with grace and perseverance.  This overall experience truly brought our 2019-2020 theme to life, as “we are all in this together.”

We had much success this year as we continued our School Wide Positive Behavior Incentive Plan, our Viking 200 Club (Golden Ticket System). We made some enhancements to our plan that gave our students great success. We expanded our recognition of our students by coming together as a school community for our PBIS Trimester Assemblies.  These school community gatherings proved to be a lot of fun for everyone!  You have done an amazing job of meeting the expectations of being safe, kind, and responsible.  Look for more exciting initiatives to come in the next school year with our School Wide Positive Behavior Incentive Plan.  Our progress in this area supports the positive, student- centered school culture we continuously work to enhance here at Skippack.

On behalf of the faculty and staff, thank you for all that you do to make Skippack a wonderful school. Our successful school year came from all of us working together, our teamwork included all of our students, families and staff.  As our fifth graders transition from elementary school into middle school, we wish them much success in their future endeavors.

I look forward to seeing you in a few months as we start our journey into the 2020-2021 school year.  Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Leslie Nassoiy
