Earth Systems Science
Earth Systems Science is a study of the world around you! Topics include Astronomy, Ecology, Geology, Meteorology, and Oceanography. This course will use hands-on experimentation, activities, and direct instruction to learn the 'how' and 'why', not just the 'what' of science. Earth Science is relevant in your everyday life! College Preparatory Environmental Science Environmental Science is designed to increase your awareness of a variety of rapidly spreading environmental problems. In addition to an overview of the science of ecology, you will study problems of ecological disruptions; growth of human populations; energy and resources; nuclear power; pesticides; food supplies and air, water, solid waste and noise pollution. The text integrates the various social, economic, technical, and political issues involved with those problems. |
