Dr. Tara L. Parr
Dr. Parr has been employed in Perkiomen Valley School District since in 1997.  She began her PV career as the building technology coordinator and teacher at Evergreen Elementary.  In the Spring of 2007, Dr. Parr accepted a position in the district office as the Technology Integration Coordinator, K-12.  She has been assisting staff and students in learning with technology ever since! She believes strongly in the power of technology to transform learning.

Dr. Parr earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Creativity and Innovation from Drexel University in the Fall of 2016.  In the Spring of 2017, she earned her Certificate in Online Learning from Duke University.  Her epistemological view of knowledge acquisition aligns with the constructivist theory of making meaning thorough active participation. She maintains learners learn by doing and, as such, she is very passionate about the effective design of learning opportunities for K-12 educators and students. She maintains, "For something to stick, (learners) need to draw their own conclusions.  Therefore, we need to guide them, not preach to them." ~ISTE  She is also very intrigued by research of the learning sciences and the wealth of information afforded to educators regarding how the brain functions and learns.

Dr. Parr is married and spends most of her free time supporting her two teenage children, Madelyn and Nicklaus, in their activities. She loves to bake and is an avid binge watcher! She is always looking for new recipes to try and new shows to watch!
