PV GIVES BACK!
January is a month dedicated to Giving Back, inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It’s a time when individuals are encouraged to reflect on acts of kindness, volunteerism, and community support.
In honor of this theme, PVSD is proud to showcase the many ways our students make a difference all year long! Follow us on Facebook (PerkValleySchools) and Instagram (perkvalleysd) to learn about these inspiring efforts – or check out the posts below!

Shoutout to our incredible Viking Buddies for their dedication to promoting inclusion and making a difference at PV and in the community!
To date, they’ve raised an impressive $6,000 in support of Special Olympics PA (SOPA) . This contribution helps foster inclusive opportunities for students and community members to shine. Many PV students proudly participate in SOPA programs, both through community initiatives and as part of our Unified Sports program. Together, we’re breaking barriers and building a stronger, more inclusive community.
Way to go, Viking Buddies!

The Perkiomen Valley Middle School East VIP and Viking Voyager Clubs have been hard at work over the last couple of months, spreading kindness and making a difference in our community! This amazing group collected over 10 pounds of Halloween candy to share with local families in need, 139 boxes of macaroni and cheese to support PV Power Packs, and highlighters and crossword puzzles to create thoughtful holiday gift packages for the residents of a local retirement facility.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to these efforts and helped make our community a better place!

Organized by Mrs. Beddis and her 4th grade students, Skippack Elementary School collected an incredible 625 sets of pajamas! The donated pajamas will be distributed to families in need, bringing warmth and comfort to our community and beyond. PLUS, every pair of pajamas was paired with a brand-new book thanks to a partnership with Scholastic.
Kudos to this group for making a difference—one pair of pajamas (and one storybook) at a time!

In partnership with the Giving Tree, Schwenksville Elementary School's 5th graders created Peace & Smiles Boxes to bring cheer to pediatric hospital patients. Students transformed empty cereal boxes by filling them with craft and art supplies, wrapping them in white paper, and decorating them with happy thoughts and creative designs.
We’re proud to recognize their kindness and creativity!
