Act 114 of the Public School Code requires that all school employees obtain an FBI Federal Criminal History Record Report. This applies to all teachers, student teachers, administrators, substitutes, maintenance and custodial staff, food service staff, office employees, coaches and anyone who has direct contact with children. Act 114 of 2006, 24 PS 1-111 as amended (Act 61 of 2008)

 
1) Go to the following website to register, find a Identogo location, and make an appointment for fingerprinting:

  • Note: If there is a chance that you may be hired by a school district in any capacity within the next five years, please choose the employee code, as a volunteer fingerprint report will not serve for employment purposes and you will need to be reprinted upon hire.
2) Once you have gone to the location to have your fingerprints taken, forward your UEID number* to :

Here are a few helpful details:

  • Please be prepared to bring a driver’s license or passport to your appointment. 
  • Payment of $23.85 is payable at the time of service (major credit cards, money orders, or cashier’s checks made out to Morpho Trust accepted only; no cash or personal checks).
  • Telephonic registration is available at 1-844-321-2101 Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm EST.
* Your UEID# can be found on both your registration confirmation email and your receipt once you have been printed and paid.
 
THE COST OF THE CLEARANCES WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED BY THE DISTRICT AND ARE REQUIRED OF ALL STAFF.  According to state law, failure to obtain new clearances prior to any expiration dates may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the school district.
