Mrs. Burdis has been a school counselor at Perkiomen Valley High School since October of 2017. She is a graduate of Lock Haven University (B.S. Recreation Management) and Kutztown University (M.Ed. Secondary School Counseling Licensure). Mrs. Burdis is dedicated to helping students develop meaningful and relevant post-high school plans. Additionally, Mrs. Burdis oversees graduation project requirements, the Senior Career Study program, and is a Link Crew Coordinator, where she works with an amazing group of juniors and seniors to mentor incoming freshmen. Mrs. Burdis resides in Phoenixville with her husband and daughter, where she enjoys outdoor activities and family time.
Ms. Conlan has been a counselor at Perkiomen Valley High School since August 2021. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from Lycoming College; a graduate degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Trauma Studies from Chestnut Hill College; and a PA Certificate in K-12 School Counseling from Holy Family University. Ms. Conlan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor. While at Lycoming College, Ms. Conlan was a member and co-captain of the swim team, founding sister of Alpha Xi Delta, and class treasurer. Prior to school counseling, Ms. Conlan worked in the mental health field conducting assessments, outpatient therapy, and Family Based Mental Health Services. Ms. Conlan lives in Collegeville with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys food, cooking, crafting, and being outside in the warm weather.
Mrs. Felty graduated from Lehigh University with a B.A. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Services. She earned her Pennsylvania Secondary School Counseling Certification from Rosemont College She started as a school counselor in 2003 at Tri-Valley High School and joined the Perkiomen Valley High School Counseling team in December of 2021 after relocating to the area with her family. She resides in the district with her husband, three children, and Border Terrier. Mrs. Felty enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling. Proud to be a Viking!
Ms. Hannings has been a counselor at PVHS since August 2022. She completed her undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College, where she studied English and Theatre (with an education minor). She has a Master’s in English from Arcadia University and Master’s in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. She is in the process of completing her supervised hours to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ms. Hannings spent the early part of her career working as an English teacher at Hatboro-Horsham HS. Ms. Hannings is also a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching regularly for the past 5 years. She resides in Lansdale with her husband, dog, and two cats. She enjoys running, hiking, reading and live music.
Miss K is the White House M-Z counselor and began in August of 2022. She graduated from Widener University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Temple University with her Master of Education in Counseling Psychology. She completed an internship at Jenkintown School District with grades K-12, and was a long-term substitute at Abington Senior High for two months towards the end of her graduate program. She is the Unified Bocce assistant coach and the PV Girls Bowling Team assistant coach. She loves hiking, reading, and baking.
Mrs. Slack is our high school Social Worker. She graduated from Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Social Work and proceeded to receive her Masters Degree in Social Work from West Chester University. She earned her Home and School Visitor/School Social Work certification from Bryn Mawr College and holds a Pennsylvania State Social Work License. She has worked in a diverse range of social work settings including outpatient therapy, wrap around services, family services, foster care and most notably in the education setting in both alternative education settings and the public school system. She joined the Perkiomen Valley School District in 2019 and joined the cross country coaching staff in 2022. She resides locally with her husband, son and two black labrador retrievers. Mrs. Slack enjoys spending her time watching her son play soccer, being with family and friends, walking her dogs and running.
Ms. Sobeck has been a counselor in the Perkiomen Valley School District since August 2010. She was an elementary school counselor at South Elementary School until 2017 then transitioned to be one of the blue house high school counselors. She completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University; a graduate degree in Counseling and PA Certificate in K-12 School Counseling from West Chester University. Ms Sobeck is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor. Ms. Sobeck lives in Chester County and has two sons. She enjoys cooking, baking, reading, being outdoors, and traveling. She especially enjoys being in Maine with her family.
