Monthly Pretzel Day Volunteer Sign Up

The Schwenksville Home and School (H&S) Association is a parent-led nonprofit organization that brings together parents, teachers, and school administration. We support educational initiatives, encourage parent involvement, and promote effective communication within the school community. Through fundraising and program coordination, we aim to enrich the learning environment and cultivate a collaborative, supportive atmosphere dedicated to the success and well-being of all Schwenksville students.
Activities H&S organizes are listed below. Additionally, we contribute by providing the Yearbook, PSSA snacks, supplemental student materials in the classroom, school assembly assistance, staff appreciation, playground equipment, offsetting field trip costs, and more!
H&S thrives on the support of dedicated volunteers – please reach out to us to get involved! Any help, big or small, is appreciated.
A truly spooktacular night, featuring decorated trunks and treats, food trucks, and fun!
Families are invited to get creative and deck out their trunks in their own festive theme (spots are limited, so sign up early!) A competition is held for the title of Best Decorated Trunk, complete with a prize! Each participating family will hand out candy to costumed kiddos in a fun, safe environment. There’s no fee to host a trunk!
If not hosting a trunk, families are invited to donate treats in advance, or simply participate in the festivities!

The Bell Run is the BIGGEST fundraiser for our Home and School, helping us raise essential funds for programs, activities, and resources used throughout the year! For this event, students and staff, during their scheduled time, walk or run the bus loop. Volunteers count laps as they complete each loop; however, the number of laps completed does not count toward fundraising totals. This event is designed to be enjoyable and inclusive for all fitness levels. It is a great way to encourage fun and fitness in an individual, non-competitive environment. Home and School offers special incentives for one class in each grade that averages the most laps. A special incentive is awarded to the grade that raises the most cumulative money!
Spectators are invited to the event to cheer on the students in the designated areas.
Volunteers are needed to help set up, tally lap cards, and break down on the day of the Bell Run.

This family-friendly DJ dance party is held in the school gymnasium, and features a photo booth, crafts, refreshments, and fun! Gather the whole family, throw on some dancing shoes and meet us in the winter wonderland! (Each child must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.)
Volunteers make this event possible, with event set-up, clean-up, sign-in table, craft assistance, refreshment assistance, photo booth assistance, and more.

Who doesn’t love a good prize?? Each year, our BINGO event is held at the High School – Schwenksville Elementary. Families join us for an exhilarating evening of number calling, epic prizes, and sweet treats! Admission includes 10 games of Bingo with 3 cards per game, 1 raffle ticket per person, and snacks. Several BIG prizes are at stake, as well as a wide selection of raffle baskets and a chance to win the 50/50 earnings!
Volunteers help with set up, refreshments, and more!

We are trying this out for a second year! We are partnering with Double Good for a fun four‑day popcorn fundraiser to support the students of Schwenksville Elementary!
Families use an app to create their own pop‑up stores, then, during the fundraiser dates, collect orders from family and friends. 50% of all sales go directly to our school! It’s an easy, delicious way to support our students!
Picture a school-friendly carnival right in our playground! Students are invited by grade to the playground to enjoy food, games, crafts, prizes, a photo booth, and more!
Spectators are permitted if the event is held outside.
LOTS of volunteers make this event happen, including for set-up the night before or day-of, as well as activity guides for the morning and afternoon, as well as for break down/clean-up.

Once a month, Home and School and our wonderful volunteers distribute soft pretzels to the classrooms. Ordering for the year is $10 and must be paid in full before the first pretzel day.

-Cash and checks are also accepted. Checks should be made out to “Schwenksville Home and School”. Please send payment in an envelope clearly marked “Pretzel Money” with your child’s name, grade, and their teacher’s last name.
Volunteers are needed to help separate and allocate pretzels for each class, as well as deliver pretzels to classrooms. Click here for the 2026-2027 volunteer sign-up sheet!

Meeting Dates are on the third Monday or Tuesday of the month, unless noted differently, and start at 7:00 PM and are held at the School Library.
All Parents and Guardians are invited to attend and become involved!
